Cruise Countdown - 13 Days - Getting to know the Carnival Dream - Water, water everywhere...

Let’s start with what looks to be the most fun of the water activities this ship offers…the Waterworks water slide and the “Drain Pipe”.  There are even 2 lanes for racing.  These babies look awesome…might have to check it out!!  I smell some waterslide races!!!!!

Carnival Dream Waterworks

The area that corresponds to the third pool area on the original Destiny-class ships has morphed into Carnival
Waterworks
.  This water park includes a 303-foot-long Twister waterslide, which is currently the longest water
slide at sea.  In addition, there is a 104-foot-long spiraling waterslide that deposits riders into a giant funnel.  For
those who like some competition, there are twin dual lane 80-foot long racing slides.  The area also includes
squirting fountains, splash zones and "dump buckets."

Then there is the water for relaxing those tired aching muscles…now, how’s this for saying “I was just hanging”…off the side of the ship!!  Yes, there are 4 of these babies hanging extending out over the edge of the ship.   They are along the Lanai.

Then of course there are the pools:

The Waves Pool area on Dream is both an outdoor
activities area and an entertainment area located

midship on Lido Deck. In addition to the pool, there

are two whirlpools in the immediate area as well as

others nearby on the next deck.  Both the pizza station

and a hamburger and light meal station are in this
area as well as two bars.  Overlooking the pool is a giant
digital  movie screen, an impressive sound system and the
facilities for the ship's laser shows.

The Sunset Pool is at the aft end of the ship.
Its area includes two whirlpools and a bar and
the tandoori and deli stations of the buffet
restaurant.
